Today’s sketch

I have been up to my eyeballs with holiday activities and I have been really lax on my posts.  I have a lot of sketches to post and I will be following up shortly with my other sketches.  I just wanted to get this out this evening before midnight….lol.  I did this early this morning with my morning pages…I have been trying to fill up a few sketchbooks before the end of the year.  For some reason I started to do a bunch of snowmen and this one was my favorite….it was done with a Bic pen and Tombow markers.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Some sketches from the past few days.

For the past couple of days, I have been working on some projects in my studio.  Plus, we have been pulling bins and bins of decorations out.  On top of this,  I have a whole checklist of things I need to do before Christmas that I have made a huge dent in since my last post.    I have finished my commissions.  I  sent my Christmas card off to be printed and received them back and I already mailed them out!!! I only have some odds and ends left to pick up as gifts.

What’s left is a few more items in my “to do” list but I am very happy with what I have accomplished so far.

I have some sketches I have done over the past few days that I haven’t posted yet, so I am posting them all at once.

Yesterday’s Sktchy

Sorry I didn’t post this yesterday.  I posted it to Sktchy last night then I went on a technology break.  I usually work in my studio until 11PM and last night I had to take a break. I got a lot accomplished yesterday so it was well deserved.  I fired this sketch off to Sktchy then I actually sat down to watch “The Santa Clause.”

I have watched this movie and “Polar Express” countless times.  I never get tired of them.  They bring the magic of Christmas back for me even though I have been an adult for a long time.  So I sketched this and called it a night so I could actually sit and watch TV with my feet up. (I also like the “Muppets Christmas Carol.”  It cracks me up.)

AEDM day 30

Well today is the last day of Art Every Day Month.  It is sort of redundant because I create art every day but having a monthly commitment encourages me to post something every day.  I will probably just continue to post every day like I did the past two months.

I am doing a lot of holiday work and commissions right now, I have my holiday card to do and I haven’t decided yet if I am going to do something whimsical or go out and sketch the holiday season around Long Island.  Maybe I’ll let you folks make that choice.

Anyway, here is day 30….a senior doggie.
