I Draw and Paint Stories
Some kitties have markings that look like puzzles and can even be confusing to the eye.

When I first saw the reference photo for this sketch on the Sktchy app, I had to laugh. Cats can be so melodramatic when it comes to travel. I tried to think about what a cat would be thinking being on the “inside.” Since cats view humans as prison guards, I thought that cats would consider cat carriers as prisons…hence the Feline Prisoner Transport Vehicle.

I had to change things up and draw a dog.

Happy Father’s Day!
Here are my doodles from last week featuring Chloe and Mack and our sloth plant.
Also, today’s kitty is a cat fish. Ok, so it’s not an original thought but I had to dash a card off quickly because it was Father’s Day and I was short on time. I am finally taking a minute to send this out and then turn in for the night.

Food, unattended, is fair game.

Ok, this is off the wall but the idea popped in my head so I had to sketch it out. I am sure there is an interesting story about why this mermaid has a kitty towing behind her. Let’s see what you all come up with…
I’ll mail this one out tomorrow.

I was out last evening with my sketch club and it was overcast. The sky looked like a fog was trying to come in from the bay. It’s really cool when it does come in, it creeps in slowly. I found a nice cozy little spot and sketched a local favorite, “Flo’s.” We usually sketch their Blue Point location by the water by now but it’s been too chilly. So Main Street will do for now.
Oh, there’s a kitty hidden in there, too….

Here is the third kitty that I did to celebrate my mom’s birthday. There is a new bakery in the Village and their pastries are amazing. What better place for a birthday kitty to hang out!
The nice thing about doing an urban sketch with a kitty is my mom gets an idea of where I have been sketching. She used to come with me when I painted plein air.

What the heck, let’s celebrate the whole week!
