I spoke to my mom this afternoon. It’s a cold damp day so she can’t sit in the courtyard. She’s getting used to her new place and she’s delighted that she has birds visiting her feeder. Her cats like the feeder, too. Lol. She has about 6 of her kitty cards now. She loves allContinue reading “Update and Today’s kitty”

Berni’s kitty
My friend Berni sent me a photo of her kitty to sketch for my mom. I had a little fun doing this one. It’s mixed media. I forgot to ask Berni what is the name of her cat! If you would like me to draw your kitty for my mom, please post your cat photosContinue reading “Berni’s kitty”
Today’s kitty for mom
Here is the kitty that I am mailing out to my mom today. All the cats that I have sketched so far are postcard size, 4×6. I was going to mail them as postcards, but I decided they would be safer in envelopes. The inspiration came from a photo submitted to Sktchy.

Sketch from Winter Park

Not sure how she survived being bounced around in a container but I will need to correct that before putting her away. I took liberties with painting this one as well.Continue reading “And last but not least”
Back cover of Zombie doll book
This doll was actually one of my favorite sketches when I was first sketching out the idea for this series. I saved it for the back cover. I had to play on the “keep calm” signs that are everywhere these days. This doll was fun because it was from my head, not a real dollContinue reading “Back cover of Zombie doll book”
