Inktober 2020 Begins

Three weeks ago, I was starting to think about Inktober and what I was going to do this year. I was mulling ideas for my Little Witch and Kitty series and then Cleo became ill and eventually had to be euthanized. Now her ashes are in a cherry wood box. Sloth plant revealed

I haven’t been posting these but this week is a little different. It was a sad week but it was also a week where the sloth plant finally bloomed. Sloth plant you ask? My two page spread

Here is the two page spread that I submitted for my class and what I previewed in yesterday’s post: One week if class left…. The text is from a story written by Zoe Tucker.

A little girl named bug

Here is the second character sheet with the little girl in the story. Her name is Bug and the balloon named Bob is her best friend

My final pose submission for Bob

Here is my character pose submission for the Illustrating Children’s Book Course that I am taking to up my knowledge on illustration submissions.

Another balloon character

Here is another version of my balloon character for the course I am taking. I got carried away the first week and did a bunch of them. The inspiration for this one was the Snow Punk in the movie “Jack Frost.”

Egrets

Every year I wonder what to get my hubby for Father’s Day. Usually he insists that we not get him anything. Like, that’s not going to happen. My daughter got him this cool power washing tool. I ordered my husband a mug from CafePress with a map of our neighborhood on it that I madeContinue reading “Egrets”

Dailies

I haven’t posted these in a while. Sometimes, I put something on my page that I am not really sure that I want to share yet until I am able to follow through on that little box that could lead to something else. A nice thing about Florida is the plants can grow year round…..However,Continue reading “Dailies”
