We sat in the car by the Indian River as Isaias was trekking north. I sketched this to the patter of raindrops and to “Fluffy” the comedian, being totally snarky about his show in Delhi.

Baby you can drive my car
Another Make Art that sells image. This is a sketchbook rendering that isn’t for sale since it was copied from another image. The idea behind the exercise is to show your skill at drawing various subject matter, in this case, a car…I moved on to add it to a story. I have also been addingContinue reading “Baby you can drive my car”
Three Hour Tour
This boat was capsized for a long while. I found this sketch among the ones that weren’t posted. It was done in a homemade sketchbook using Fabriano cold press paper, which you can see is quite textured. Since this sketch was completed, the boat was moved over by a marina. I guess someone will attemptContinue reading “Three Hour Tour”
My West Side Story project
I signed up for a bundled group of workshops back in November, before John was laid off, that were running this year. They are for building my on line portfolio. April’s assignment was West Side Story. I actually found this assignment to be a lot of fun, however, a lot of work. It was doneContinue reading “My West Side Story project”

I have done a bunch of them and occasionally I use them asContinue reading “Feeling a bit crabby”
Kangaroo/gift
I signed up for Carla Sonheim’s 365 workshop for 2018. Everyday there is something in your email. A lesson, a prompt, a quote, sometimes an interview with a variety of artists (visual, musicians, literary). I have found that the random pick (two words picked out of a hat) are great for filling that sketch boxContinue reading “Kangaroo/gift”
Lettering page
Playing around with some lettering art and a verse from ELO’s Eldorado.
Horses and yesterday’s Inktober Sketch
I spent over a week researching and working on this map that I did as a very belated Sketchbook Skool Assignment. I was away when the class was “in session” and I mulled over ideas and nothing really inspired me until I saw they were requesting maps for Asia. Then I had to mull thatContinue reading “Horses and yesterday’s Inktober Sketch”
Morning pages and Today’s Sketch
Today’s Sktchy (106) and a lettering exercise from my morning pages… Again, because of the holiday, my sktchy and IFJM are combined.
